SARAH GEE
Founder, Managing Director
B.Mgmt, LL.B (First Class Honours), GAICD
Sarah Gee (she/her) is an unapologetic law nerd who kicked off her career way back in 2007, graduating with first class honours.
Sarah works exclusively with businesses who have between 1-3000 staff who want to manage the legal side of their business. She absorbs the stress normally associated with legal stuff and gives you back an easy to manage action plan that will leave you wondering why you put it off for so long.
Sarah started Curium Legal after finding that stuffy law firms weren’t suited to the dynamic businesses she was working with. You want your lawyer to be savvy, business minded, flexible and creative. You don’t want to pay for things you don’t need. To get this dynamic from a lawyer, they can’t be chained to their billable hours or rolling out the same documents they’ve had since the 1890s.
Sarah works from beautiful Bendigo, Central Victoria but has clients based all over Australia. If you want to get her talking, bring up quirky employment law cases, podcasts, Harry Potter, gin infusions or parenting young boys.
Sarah is supported by a team of amazingly clever and dynamic women who have been specially selected for their ability to make complex legal concepts look and sound easy and their commitment to good old fashioned customer service. Big firm expertise but make it personal.
MEGAN MCDONALD
Business and Commercial Lawyer
B.Sc, GDPS, LL.B
Megan McDonald (she/her) is a scientist turned business lawyer who thrives on taking complex problems apart, understanding how they work and building practical solutions that actually move things forward.
Before law became her second language, Megan spent her days in laboratories developing, scaling and optimising viral and bacterial vaccine manufacturing processes. Working in science taught her to think systematically, manage risk, interrogate evidence and navigate complexity where precision matters. So you could say she’s no stranger to high-stakes problem solving.
Megan brings the same curiosity and analytical drive to her role as a commercial lawyer at Curium Legal. She’s seen the legal world from a few unique angles: from the lab to private practice to a government role in Biosecurity protecting the environment and agricultural industries.
Megan works with businesses and not-for-profits providing legal advice that is clear, commercial and actually helpful. No mystery, no jargon, no making things sound more dramatic than they need to be. Just sensible advice, a steady hand and a focus on helping clients get on with running their business.
When the laptop is closed, you’ll usually find Megan outdoors in the garden, exploring local trails or discovering new landscapes. Always on the lookout for her next adventure.
